ALTTA is pleased to announce that we are now working in partnership with the National College for High Speed Rail.

Who are the National College of High Speed Rail?

The college is a new specialist education and training institution and is one of only five, government sponsored, specialist institutions that is designed to bring the specific, higher level skills that businesses need.  The college is a flagship skills centre for high speed rail, which opened its doors in September 2017 and have two campuses, one in Doncaster and the other in Birmingham.  The college is at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and aims, with the help of ALTTA, to change the way training is delivered.

The skills that you will develop are transferable and supportive to the new era of rail.  ALTTA and the college will help you to gain the skills required to work on the HS2 project, as well as all future rail projects across the UK.  The rail industry is an exceptionally good place to build a career, especially considering approximately 1,500 rail professionals are retiring each year, with the number of people joining not being high enough to fill this gap.  There is a lot of room in the rail industry to create careers for the next generation, ALTTA and the college will work with you to help bridge that gap.

The training courses are employer led, which means the courses will be tailor made to suit the role that each candidate will be performing.

ALTTA and the college are non-discriminative organisations, actively working to bring greater diversity to the logistics and rail sectors.
