We have created a new Mental Health First Aid For Logistics course

For those of you that know us, Altta Group Limited is very much behind the push for getting mental health first aiders into the workplace. We are proud to announce that we have become the first RTITB accredited company to have a course that allows your staff to complete the 1-day Mental Health First Aid For Logistics course and upload it to the RTITB’s National Operators Registration Scheme (NORS). NORS is the same system that all of your RTITB forklift training is uploaded to.

The course allows the participant to recognise signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, such as:

  • Stress
  • Stress Sink
  • Continuum
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Psychosis
  • Self Harm
  • Suicide
  • The effects of alcohol
  • Recovery
  • Being mentally healthy
  • Selection of operators
  • Selection of instructors

How can a Mental Health First Aid course benefit me?

I think we can all agree that the world of logistics can place enormous amounts of stress on a person. The long hours, staying away from home, tight deadlines, unrealistic workloads, 24/7 operations, the list goes on. All these factors can have devastating effects on a person’s life both in and out of the workplace.

Consequently, our course will give you confidence and knowledge to recognise and signpost people to relevant help. Or even better, give you the ability to be proactive and take steps to try to minimise the risk of somebody developing a mental health issue.

Our instructors are qualified RTITB forklift instructors and have many years within the logistics sector. They are also Mental Health First Aid England trained. By working within the industry, we understand what a person is facing daily and how it can affect their mental health.

So, if you would like continuity within your training and a qualification that is recognised nationwide, then why not try our RTITB accredited Mental Health First Aid For Logistics Course? You never know; it may just save or change a life.
