Driver CPC Training Northampton

As the driver CPC continues, The Altta Group is able to deliver a range of  JAUPT approved training course to enable you to complete your 35 hours of Periodic Training to comply with Driver CPC regulations.

What is Driver CPC?

As well as a driving licence, professional lorry and PCV drivers will have to hold a Certificate of Professional Competence which is renewable every 5 years. There will be an Initial Qualification for new drivers and Periodic Training for new and existing drivers.  Driver CPC came into force on 10 September 2008 for PCV drivers and 10 September 2009 for LGV drivers.

Who will the Driver CPC affect?

A Driver CPC is required for drivers of the following categories; LGV (C1, C1+E, C, C+E licence) and PCV drivers (D1, D1+E, D, D+E licence) when driving professionally throughout the UK and Europe, unless there is an exemption for their vehicle or role.

Does the Driver CPC affect foreign nationals?

Yes, Driver CPC applies across all EU Member States and therefore all professional EU drivers are required to qualify and hold a Driver CPC.

We have designed courses that will enable you to share your experiences with other drivers and also will allow you to clear up any misunderstandings you may have had over the years.
